All is quiet on the farm

Today has been a quiet day in the barn. We have been anticipating more arrivals, but all is still. Through out the day you hear baby noises coming from the pens. The kids are playing with their new found friends, jumping around and playing tag your it!
Then you would hear their mom calling them to have lunch and nap time again.
A full moon is scheduled for Thursday. I am sure excitement will arise sometime within the eve of the full moon.

Babies! Babies! Babies!
Yes.. the kids keep coming 1 by 1.... 2 by 2 ..... and 3 by 3! We have been busy here on MAE Farm.
Alot of cold nights by heaters to keep warm. But when the kidding begins, you don't have time to think of being cold. So far we have been blessed with easy births and healthly kids. I pray that the rest of the kidding season goes as well as the beginning.
Be on the look out for pictures in future postings. I will try to get them on as soon as I can.
They are all so cute. I would keep them all if I could!

Babies are starting to arrive!
This is our first post in our new blog. We thought this would be a great way to let you see and enjoy Mae Farm. We were established in 2003 and are breaders of ABGA full blooded boer goats. Just in time for posting we have had two new arrivals over the weekend. We will be having many more little kids arriving soon. Twenty-two of our does are expecting! We will be having does and bucks/weathers available for sale in the upcoming months.
Meet our new buck "Tucker"! The first red kid of 2008! Born on Saturday, February 9th
Tucker came into the world weighing 9.25 lbs. The second kid born was a doe and her name is "Hillary". Born on Saturday and she weighed 11 lbs. Hillary is a traditonal boer. I didn't get a picture of her yet but will try to post one tomorrow!
